# Performance and sharing

> Advice for keeping a theme smooth, and how to export it.

## Performance

* Use `coverThumb`/`heroThumb` in grids and rows. The kit's `img()` already sets `loading="lazy"`.
* In long grids: `content-visibility: auto; contain-intrinsic-size: auto 240px;`.
* No fast `setInterval`. The kit's clock updates once a minute.
* Pause videos with `ejg.on("visibility")` and when they are not on screen.

## Sharing

**Export .ejtheme** (Settings → Appearance) creates a zip of your theme. To
install it on another PC: **Import**. A user theme cannot use a built-in theme's
`id`.
